Denali Norton (she/her) will receive her B.F.A in Dance and her B.A in Journalism from San Diego State University in a few weeks. Originally from Berkeley, Denali started dancing in high school before pursuing her higher education in dance and journalism at City College of San Francisco in 2021, where she worked with choreographers Jeanette Male and Kirstin Williams and performed at Dance Mission, Solana College, and ACDA. During her time at SDSU, she had the opportunity to work with and perform for directors including Briseda Lopez, Joseph Alter, Leslie Seiters & Jessica Humphry.
Throughout her time at SDSU, Denali studied contact improvisation, Bartinieff, and somatic practices such as Feldenkrais and Body Mind Centering to investigate movement. She has taught at Berkeley Playhouse for 5 years. She teaches musical theatre, acting, and dance classes. She hopes to continue teaching, dancing, and performing after graduation.
